Shahana Hanif was born and raised in District 39 and has been fighting for our district for over a decade as a community organizer, health care advocate, and as a senior staff member for our current city council member Brad Lander. Shahana will be the first woman to ever represent this district in City Council and the first Muslim woman EVER in City Council.
